  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (10-oz/283g) frozen spinach
  • 1/4 cup chopped mixed fresh herbs
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon Baharat spice mix
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch or arrowroot flour
  • 1 cup plant milk
  • 1/4 cup tahini 
  • 3 tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Garnish
  • 1/4 cup toasted hazelnuts or almonds, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or to taste)
